Cambrian United Welcomes 70 Young Players to Half-Term Football Camp

Cambrian United FC were delighted to welcome over 70 boys and girls to our half-term football camp held on Monday, showcasing the continued growth and impact of our community and academy programmes.

The camp brought together young players from across the Rhondda Cynon Taf area, creating an inclusive and energetic environment focused on learning, enjoyment, and development. Participants travelled from a wide range of local communities including Treorchy, Tonyrefail, Ynysybwl, Wattstown, Porth, Ely Valley, and surrounding areas, highlighting the club’s growing reach across the region.

The day was delivered by our dedicated coaching team and provided players with the opportunity to:

  • Develop technical football skills
  • Improve confidence and teamwork
  • Learn in a positive, supportive environment
  • Experience the Cambrian United pathway

With representation from clubs, schools, and grassroots groups across RCT, the camp reflected Cambrian United’s commitment to ensuring football opportunities are accessible to all young people, regardless of background or location.

Feedback from families and participants was extremely positive, with many praising the quality of coaching, organisation, and welcoming atmosphere.

Head of Operations, Joshua Evans, said:

“Seeing over 70 young players from right across RCT come together in one place shows the power of what we are building at Cambrian. These camps are about more than football — they’re about confidence, community, and opportunity.”

The success of Monday’s camp underlines Cambrian United’s ongoing investment in youth development and community engagement, as part of the club’s ‘One Cambrian’ vision.

Supporters and families are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled on our social media channels for details of our upcoming Easter Camps, which will be announced soon.
