Dylan Edwards & Cody Williams are back at Cambrian United
Cambrian United are delighted to welcome home two exciting and familiar faces ahead of the 2025/26 season — Dylan Edwards and Cody Williams.
Both players return to the club after impressive spells away and are ready to play key roles under Liam Williams this season. They bring not only footballing quality but also a real connection to our club values, our community, and our identity.
Dylan Edwards – Goalscoring Midfield Maestro with Legendary Roots
Dylan Edwards returns to Cambrian United with a standout achievement under his belt — he was the top goalscorer at Loughborough University, one of the UK’s most respected sporting institutions. Known for his clever movement, sharp finishing, and calm presence in midfield, Dylan adds a cutting edge to the side.
But the footballing pedigree doesn’t stop there — Dylan is the grandson of the legendary Sir Gareth Edwards, one of Wales’ all-time sporting greats. That legacy of excellence runs through him, and it’s no surprise that he plays with leadership, drive, and a deep passion for representing his team.
Having previously impressed during his time at Cambrian, Dylan now returns sharper, hungrier, and more complete — a real asset for the season ahead.
Cody Williams – Fast, Fearless, and Back in Blue
Returning from Cardiff City’s academy, Cody Williams is another Cambrian product coming back home. An electric winger with lightning pace and fearless attacking intent, Cody adds width, danger, and excitement to the team.
Supporters will remember his ability to stretch defences and make things happen out of nothing. Now with added experience from a professional environment, Cody is ready to light up the 3G once again and show just how far he’s come.
First Team Manager Liam Williams said:
“We’re proud to bring Dylan and Cody back into the fold. Dylan has matured into a leader and goalscorer with real pedigree, and Cody’s return adds pace and power in wide areas. Both lads love the club and understand what Cambrian stands for — it’s a brilliant boost ahead of a big season.”
Their return couldn’t be better timed, with a huge home fixture this Friday night as we face Cardiff City U21 in Round 2 of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
Let’s pack the ground and show our support for two local stars reuniting in blue.
