Cambrian United are proud to celebrate a special milestone for club captain Kyle Jones, who has now reached 200 senior appearances for the club.
A true leader both on and off the pitch, Kyle has become a central figure in the Cambrian journey, representing everything the club stands for – commitment, resilience, and pride in the badge.
One of Our Own
Kyle Jones is the definition of the Cambrian pathway.
Developed through the Cambrian United academy system, Kyle has been with the club from a young age right through to senior football, and now leads the side as club captain. He is widely regarded as one of the best players the club has produced, showcasing exactly what is possible through the One Cambrian model.
His journey is a powerful example to every young player coming through the system that progression from academy to first team, and ultimately into leadership, is real.
Kyle was also a key part of the club’s 2017 Youth side that reached the Welsh Cup Final, underlining his quality from an early age.

A Journey That Came Full Circle
After establishing himself in the first team, Kyle made the move to Barry Town United in January 2023, gaining valuable experience at a higher level.
But Cambrian is home.
Kyle returned ahead of the 2023/24 season, bringing that experience back with him – and has since gone from strength to strength, stepping into the role of club captain and leading the group with authority.

Leading From the Front
This season, Kyle has been ever-present in the side, featuring in over 27 league games and contributing 4 goals.
His consistency, leadership, and standards have been vital to the team’s success throughout the campaign.

A True Cambrian Leader
Reaching 200 appearances is a huge achievement – one that reflects not just longevity, but dedication and influence.
Kyle Jones is more than just a player – he is a symbol of what this football club is all about.
From academy prospect to club captain. From local talent to leader.
This is One Cambrian.
