MATCH PREVIEW: Aberystwyth Town vs Cambrian United

JD Cymru South
Saturday | 14:30 Kick-Off | Aberystwyth University Park Avenue

Cambrian United hit the road this Saturday as Liam Williams’ side travel to Park Avenue to take on Aberystwyth Town, aiming to stay top of the JD Cymru South and bounce back from last weekend’s 3–1 Welsh Cup defeat to Penybont.

Aberystwyth enter the game sitting 13th in the table (P7 W2 D4 L5) and come into this clash managerless, adding a layer of unpredictability to Saturday’s contest. Their recent form has been mixed winning two and losing three of their last five games showing they are capable of producing strong performances but also remain inconsistent.

Despite their position, Aber have scored 23 goals this season and will be eager to respond on home turf. Cambrian know that form can go out the window when facing a side looking to impress under interim leadership, so focus and discipline will be key.

For the Cam Army, there are plenty of positives heading into the weekend. Eason continues his impressive goal-scoring run, and fans will be hoping he can extend that streak against a side still finding its identity. Even bigger news comes with the return of Keetch, who is back in the match day squad for the first time this season after a long-term injury a massive boost at an important stage of the campaign.

This fixture also comes ahead of a huge moment for the club: next week’s home League Cup semi-final against Barry Town, live on S4C. A strong showing in Aberystwyth would provide the perfect build-up to that occasion.

Transport for the trip is proudly supported by Thomas of Rhondda Travel, with the team and staff departing Lakeside on Saturday morning.

To all supporters making the journey thank you. Your backing is always felt and always appreciated.

Safe travels, and let’s bring it home.
