Friday night football returns to Tonypandy as Cambrian United welcome Ammanford AFC in what promises to be another exciting JD Cymru South encounter under the lights. đź’™
Liam Williams’ side head into the fixture in strong form, showing both character and quality in recent weeks. A thrilling 3-2 comeback victory away at Caerau Ely was followed by a dominant 5-2 home win against Cardiff Draconians, continuing a run that has seen Cambrian score 17 goals in their last five matches. With confidence high and momentum building, the squad will be eager to keep the pressure on at the top end of the table.
Our visitors, Ammanford AFC, arrive full of belief following a comprehensive 6-0 win over Afan Lido last time out. Managed by the experienced Wyn Thomas, they’ve found form in front of goal and will provide a stern test for the home side, bringing energy and attacking intent to the M&P 3G.
With both teams in fine scoring form, Friday night’s clash is set to deliver plenty of action and intensity — the perfect setting for another memorable evening of Cymru South football in Tonypandy.
Looking ahead, Cambrian United’s next fixture sees the club return to cup action in the Welsh Cup, as we host Cymru Premier side Penybont on Friday 21 November — a huge tie for the club and community.
And following that, we’ll face another big test as we’ve been drawn at home to Barry Town United in the Nathaniel MG Cup Semi-Final, to be played between 5–7 December.
