Tomorrow night under the lights at The M&P 3G, we welcome Briton Ferry Llansawel in the Quarter-Final of the Nathaniel MG Cup , a huge occasion for everyone connected to Cambrian United.
It’s another proud moment in our journey as a club built on community, togetherness, and ambition. We’ve earned our place amongst the final eight, and now face one of the strongest sides in Welsh football , a team who currently play in the Cymru Premier, the league above us.
💙 Our Journey So Far
Our cup run began Home at Treowen Stars, where we kicked off our campaign with a professional and confident performance to move into Round Two.
We then hosted Cardiff City, putting in a brave and disciplined display to come out on top against a side full of young talent.
That set up a memorable tie with Cardiff Met, one of the Cymru Premier’s most consistent teams. After a 1–1 draw in normal time, we held our nerve in the penalty shoot-out to claim a famous victory and book our place in the Quarter-Finals.
Three rounds, three big performances , and now, a chance to go one step further.
🔴 The Visitors
Briton Ferry Llansawel have also impressed on their route to the last eight.
In Round Two, they overcame Trethomas Bluebirds with a convincing 3–0 win.
Then, in Round Three, they faced Cymru Premier side Penybont, drawing 2–2 before holding their nerve from the spot to win on penalties.
⚽ A Big Night for the Club
This tie is more than just a Quarter-Final ,it’s a celebration of how far we’ve come as a club and community. From the first team to our academy, women’s, and disability sides, nights like this bring the whole “One Cambrian” family together.
We’ve always said this club belongs to the people of the Rhondda. Tuesday night, let’s show that spirit again.
